सभी का स्वागत -All Welcome

In September, Fitzroy welcomed a vibrant new addition to its thriving food scene with the opening of MASTI—a bold and modern Indian restaurant by acclaimed chef and restaurateur Manpreet Sekhon, the visionary behind Eastern Spice Geelong. Nestled in the heart of this trendy inner-city suburb, MASTI Fitzroy brings a fresh and playful twist to authentic Indian cuisine, combining traditional flavours with contemporary flair. Whether you're craving rich curries, smoky tandoori dishes, or creative cocktails with a desi twist, MASTI is fast becoming a must-visit Indian restaurant in Melbourne.

The wooden-top bar is ready to hold your drink, the textured, patterned (and extremely comforting) chairs are waiting to be kept warm and the hand-painted mural  – are waiting to be part of your conversations.

Following in the footsteps of its Geelong sibling, the new venue emulates Eastern Spice’s laid back and light-hearted atmosphere. With each visit, you’ll be met by a glowing red neon sign that will set the tone for your dining experience.

Sekhon, also known in Geelong as the “Curry Queen,” will be at the helm in the kitchen and die-hard Eastern Spice fans will be pleased to see many of their favourites on the MASTI menu, including Scallop Coconut Curry, Crab Tikka and Green Chilli Naan. There is also an expanded vegan and vegetarian menu, with Chickpea Vindaloo, Honey Chilli Cauliflower, and MASTI’s soon-to-be-famous Vegan Naan featuring prominently.

Being such a unique offering, many people have been travelling to Geelong from Melbourne to visit Eastern Spice for years. Now, Melburnians no longer need to venture as far to get the Indian experience they know and love from Eastern Spice.

“For a long time people have been telling me I should open up a restaurant in Melbourne. When I finally decided to do it, it took me two years to find the right venue. I wanted it to be somewhere central, in a fun area. Somewhere that would be accepting of my progressive take on traditional Indian food, and a place that would welcome the fun cocktail list I knew I wanted to create. When I found this location in Fitzroy, I instantly felt it was the perfect place to open MASTI.” - Manpreet
